Beat Flippa

Popular producer of Southern Soul. Daniel “Smurf” Ross also known as Beat Flippa was born August 28, 1977 in Zachary, LA. He is a producer, engineer, artist and CEO of Ross Music Group. In 1999, he founded his first Label “Danked Out Records” in which jump started his career. In 2003, Beat Flippa signed with Blood Tight Ent. In 2005 Beat Flippa decided to go back on his own. He then started the group “2 Gutta” in which their second recorded song entitled “Bing Bing Bam Bam” went on to the 2006 Billboard's Urban Charts Top 10 and in 2007 the remix featuring Jim Jones was done. Also, In 2007, The Beat Flippa Show was released “Go Hard or Go Home” quickly followed by “Street Certified” in 2008. Since then he’s been producing for artists such as Lil Boosie, Kevin Gates, Nussie, C-Loc, Max Manelli and many others.

As of 2012, with 12 plus years under his belt, Beat Flippa has started a new record label “Ross Music Group”, a production company “Super Friends Productions” and has signed with She’s A Boss Ent. for management. In 2015 Ross turned his attention to the modern "Southern Soul" market and began producer numerous hits for some of the genre's top artists.
